Judy Elliott Presenting Breakout Session 01
Secondary MTSS: Is That Even Possible?
Implementing MTSS at the secondary level requires thoughtful and coherent planning. Several key areas need to be addressed prior to implementation including developing a common language, common understanding, protocols/procedures, student identification systems, the master schedule, teaching resources, progress monitoring tools, goals/outcomes, ongoing professional development/learning and reporting and data systems.
In our time together we will begin to develop our common language common understanding about the multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) and its six critical components.
